This
web site is dedicated to all the people who have lost their lives,
been
injured,
or had a
loved
one
killed
or injured,
while
driving the 53 miles of California State Highway 76 from Interstate
5 in Oceanside to Route 79 near Lake Henshaw.
FIX
THE 76 NOW!
With the passing of the Proposition A TransNET
tax
extension in San Diego county in November 2004,
we are
going to do everything
we can
to
put
pressure
on any and all public officials who can expedite the improvement
of this highway much faster than the proposed 2014 completion date
(SANDAG
Document Link 1). WE
DO NOT BELIEVE IT SHOULD TAKE ANOTHER 10 YEARS! Nor
do we believe that beginning the project should DELAYED until 2008.
The SAFETY of the people who drive the 76 can not be put off. The
blame for anyone who is killed on this highway because
of its UNSAFE conditions lies squarely with someone. We intend
to root them out, and hold them accountable to the public they
have served so ineffectively!!!

AT ANY SPEED!
And the
SANDAG “Transit First Strategy” (SANDAG
Document Link 2) must be stopped.
FIXING HIGHWAYS AND ROADS THAT
KILL SHOULD BE FIRST! No more studies, no more
hand-wringing. Too many
people
have
died simply driving this hazardous road. It should have been
fixed long ago. IT IS UNSAFE!!! SO
IT IS TIME TO FIX THE 76 RIGHT NOW!!!

If everyone who drives on this deadly highway, or has loved ones that do, puts pressure on these people WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO BE WORKING FOR US, we can make a difference!
